Ever wanted to be in a LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE
while they tape a TV show? Ever wanted to have your
ideas used in that show?
Here’s your chance (for our local fans) to
do it right here in LOUISVILLE! And it benefits some
GREAT charities.
The CW and WYCS present the Alley
Theater’s "Improv Challenge." In the same
vein as "Who’s Line is it Anyway," teams of local
talent square off in several rounds of hilarious improv comedy
challenges.
And, by the way, Anubis Digital Studios has
a team in the contest.
It’s being filmed on Thursdays at 7:30 PM
in the Alley Theater at City Block.
You really need to come out for a show –
and it would be great if you could show us some love this
coming Thursday September 11.
Dead Moon Rising will be shown
Saturday evening, September 13, 2008, at the first annual
ScareFest in Lexington, KY. They're set to host a lot of
great celebrities such as Sid Haig and Bill Moseley from House
of 1000 Corpses, Kane Hodder from Friday the 13th, PJ Soles
from Halloween, Tony Todd from Candyman, Michael Berryman form
The Hills Have Eyes, and many more.
You've got to see this! Alex, a young movie reviewer from the United Kingdom, loved Dead
Moon Rising, even though movie hasn't been released in the UK yet,
and he had a hard time getting a copy.
This is too funny. We think
this young man has a bright future ahead of him AND great taste in
movies.
The new teaser trailer for DMR
2 is now out and available right here. As you can see,
Anubis is stepping up the production with lots of cool digital
effects and other tricks.
Anubis will break the mold with
DMR 2 by providing more audience interaction than any
production company ever has - starting with our Quick
Bites Horror Film Contest.
Anubis will be the first
production company to create a hybrid merger of traditional
movie production, modern webisode production, and the audience
creativity of YouTube.
Anubis

Anubis Digital Studios
is extremely excited to announce our Quick Bites Horror Film

like no other. You're actually competing to become a
film crew for Anubis Digital Studios, writing and producing

DMR2 is in full
production! We're filming scenes for the
trailer with a goal of completing in time for Fright
Night in Mid-August. Our First shoot was on
Thursday, July 17, 2008. We are using professional
grade HD cameras, cranes, and digital capture equipment.
We filmed some post-apocalyptic empty street scenes.
We will need extras for other shoots very soon - so STAY TUNED.
This will be in smooth as silk slo-mo on HD, so it will be
sexy-cool.
Who wants to be a Female Action
Star?
This event will be shot LIVE at City Block on
Wednesday, July 23, 2008. The event starts at 9:00
PM and goes LATE (after midnight?). City Block is
getting radio spots, and we’ll be drumming up support from
the press. This venue will gain us a lot of publicity
for DMR2, the Halloween Zombie event, and we may actually find
a diamond in the rough. The goal is to find young women
who can act and are hungry for a chance to star in the biggest
action series to hit the Internet. This will round out
our existing beautiful cast (and Mike Seely). John Wells
of MSD has agreed to MC the event, and we hope to add Jason
Crowe as co-anchor. Artistic Director Mike Seely,
Assistant Director Janice Poole, and Director Mark E. Poole
will act as judges.
EOH
We are introducing EOH, the Magazine of Anubis Digital
Studios. It will be published in PDF. Janice Poole
will be Executive Editor. The format will be a photo spread of
our cast and crew with articles. We will eventually sell
high-resolution copies of the pictures, and possibly
posters. Bill Spangler has completed two photo sessions
(Tucky Williams & Kate Stanley), and we’ve given him
direction to take provocative photos. This will be a
very classy vehicle, and Janice will have complete control
over content. She will work with others for submissions
to round out each monthly edition.
Who
Wants to Be a Female Action Hero
As we continue to gear up
production for DEAD MOON RISING 2, Anubis is continuing our
trend of locating the best regional talent we can find.
And, in this case, we're looking for the best looking regional
talent we can find.

being an actress, DON'T MISS your opportunity to gain

LOOK OUT BOYS AND
GIRLS. Our first feature, DEAD MOON RISING, took a year
to make, and even longer to distribute. Well, waiting
just became a thing of the past. DEAD MOON RISING 2 (DMR
2) will be delivered to you - as we make it.
And,
even better, DMR 2 will be interactive. You'll can
participate in making the movie/series. If you want to
act, let us know. If you want to write, let us
know. If you have suggestions on where the series should
go, tell us.
We're
just getting started. In this scene, we start to get
some insight into how the "infection" is spreading
around the world with a character that is quite creepy to many
- a clown.
This
is just a taste. As we go along, you need to help us
figure out just where this infection is coming from and HOW IT
CAN BE STOPPED!
DEAD
MOON RISING Hits It Big!
Wow! Check this
out. DEAD MOON RISING hit the #7 most popular movie at
Coconuts. Not too shabby!
DEAD MOON RISING is Fangoria
Magazine's Video of the Month!!
DEAD MOON RISING, Zombies
Falling By CHRIS HABERMAN On a bright August day, DEAD MOON
RISING writer/director Mark E. Poole made Louisville, KY
history—and all it took was approximately 600 bikers, 500
zombies, one closed downtown street, one broken rib and one
dead fish. The occasion was the outrageous final shoot for
Poole’s saga of car rental clerks taking on the living dead,
debuting this week on DVD from Anthem Pictures. The filmmaker
actually had to turn away 300 zombie wannabes who showed up
ready for battle, but the ones that got in the flick…oh,
brother. Let’s take a look at the more interesting
flesheaters... READ
